ULTRA VIOLETTE QUEEN SCREEN REVIEW

By now, I would wholeheartedly hope you know the importance of wearing sun protection every damn day. It is absolutely essential. It is the number one most effective anti-ageing measure you can use. Let’s take a closer looks at Ultra Violette Queen Screen.

You may have seen these beautiful cobalt bottles doing the rounds on the ‘gram recently. Brand new to the market, Ultra Violette have seemingly revolutionised sunscreen. Promising a fusion of skincare and sunscreen in user-friendly formulas, Ultra Violette has gotten the Australian beauty community a little excited. Made specifically for the harsh Australian sun and catering to all skin types and conditions, UV has created a small but well thought out collection.

Now, I wouldn’t usually be so quick to post about a skincare product, but I’ve been bursting at the seems to share this little blue wonder.

WHAT IS ULTRA VIOLETTE QUEEN SCREEN?

The matriarch of the Ultra Violette family, this Queen is the big boss of skinscreen. A broad-spectrum SPF in the body of an anti-ageing serum to make your skin glow like this ✨. The oil-free formula is jam-packed with native antioxidants that’ll melt into your face like a discarded Callipo on a hot summer’s day.

I would highly recommend checking out the UV website too. The copy is written in easy to understand terms and packed to the brim with relevant info with a quirky twist. The branding is fun, fresh and so on point.

REVIEW PACKAGING FORMULA ULTRA VIOLETTE QUEEN SCREEN

Unlike most sunscreens, this little baby is housed in a beautiful glass bottle with a dropper. This allows for total control over the product and amount required.

The milky formula sits somewhere between a serum and moisturiser consistency wise. It spreads so easily across the skin and is instantly absorbed without any effort at all.  I am honestly amazed at how easily and instantaneously it sinks into the skin – I’ve never tried a product quite like it. There’s no rubbing required, nor is there that awful thick, sticky residue left on the face. No white cast, or mask-like appearance either.  Instead, skin is hydrated, fresh, glowy and thoroughly protected from that pesky sun.

What’s even better? The formula sits perfectly on top of your skincare. There no balling up in sight.  This is a huge positive for me.

Ultra Violette Queen Screen has quite a strong rose fragrance. It is not offensive, but it is quite strong while applying the formula to your face. However, this quickly dissipates once absorbed.

REVIEW – HOW DOES ULTRA VIOLETTE QUEEN SCREEN WEAR?

Really well. Queen Screen is so weightless and so easily absorbed that it wears so bloody well under makeup or alone. You completely forget it is even there.  It does add a bit of glow to your complexion, which is evident even after makeup is applied. However, it is easy to dull with a dusting of powder.

Ultra Violette Queen Screen would work for absolutely any skin type. Gals that do lean towards the more oily end of the spectrum may need a touch-up or two during the day – but we are used to that. Plus, it is a small price to pay for 50 SPF. If this is something that concerns you, UV also offers a Mattifying Mineral Sunscreen (Which I am dying to try!)

THOUGHTS?

This is a game changer. In fact, they’ve won the game. The game is finished.  If you have been searching for a lightweight, non-sticky, easy to wear sunscreen with a high SPF (50), then your search is over. I’ve found it, The Holy Grail. I am so very impressed. The way it instantly sinks into the skin, without any sticky or tacky feeling has blown me away. Super versatile and so so so very light. Now to get my mitts on the rest of the range, because I am obsessed with Ultra Violette.

The rest of the collection includes a sunscreen/primer hybrid, a lip balm and previously mentioned mattifying mineral sunscreen. You can buy your little blue beauties right here. Use the code ‘beautybender20’ for 20% off (not affiliate).
