Hello Lovelies. I hope your week so far has been full of love, laughter and light. I have been a long-time lover of Designer Brand’s foundations. So whenever Designer Brands release any new products – especially foundations – I get excited. Enter their newest release, Luminous Perfection Cushion Foundation.

About Designer Brands

They produce high quality products for such affordable prices. Plus, Designer Brands cosmetics are Australian owned, Vegan friendly and cruelty-free. I have been using the 24 Hour Foundation for about 2 years and have gone through  a few bottles. The coverage is insane, easily built up and blended out. It doesn’t cake nor does it make me look like an oil-slick. You may be surprised to hear that I haven’t actually used a cushion foundation before.

I found the idea gimmicky and quite expensive for the amount of product in the compact. But if anyone can sway me on the idea, it is definitely Designer Brands.  This cushion foundation retails for $19.95 as opposed to other brands which can start at $39.95 The compact is sturdy and practical, with a large mirror.

Packaging Luminous Perfection Cushion Foundation

It clicks shut, so there isn’t a risk of leakage. At first glance, this product seems ideal for beauty on the go. The compact has a second lid inside to ensure the product remains in the compact. The sponge is large, bouncy and full of product.

I just dab my brush or Beauty Blender on the sponge and apply directly to my face – simple! There is also a small makeup pad included in the compact for application.

Formula Luminous Perfection Cushion Foundation

The formula’s Luminous Perfection Cushion Foundation is really lightweight and gorgeous. It applies and blends so effortlessly. The coverage is quite sheer but is easily built up without a cakey finish. My skin is left looking glowy and fresh. I would say that the finish is slightly dewy, but I do tend to set the foundation with a light dusting of powder. The longevity is great and lasted all day on me. I think I will be reaching for this little beauty a lot over the coming warmer months. It is perfect for popping in the handbag, for dolling up on the run or for touch ups.
