Aspect is a skincare brand that I’ve seen raved about time and time again. With potent actives, cutting edge medical science and being a wonderful Australian brand, Aspect certainly seems to ticks all the boxes. But how do the products perform? Having used an Aspect skincare regime exclusively for the last 9 weeks I thought I’d share my review about Aspect skincare.
Review Aspect Skincare Purastat 5 Cleanser
Described as a gentle exfoliating cleanser, Purastat is definitely a stand out for me. It is the most perfect balance between cleansing and refining without stripping your skin of all that precious moisture. Containing a small amount of lactic acid, your skin is left as fresh as a daisy and fully prepped to better absorb your follow up products. It also works really well at clearing up congestion and keeping skin clear. Purastat is really the most perfect all-round cleanser and is by far the best I’ve ever used. And I’ve used a lot.
Best for normal to oily skin types.
Review Aspect Skincare Fruit Enzyme Mask
This mask is absolute heaven. Not only does it smell like redskins but it leaves my skin so ridiculously soft and smooth. It is really easy to use and the way the product balls up makes it a really satisfying experience. Blackheads and texture are visibly reduced and my skin just looks and feels happier. 10/10 mask.
Review Aspect skincare Pigment Punch
The biggest concerns I have with my skin is dullness and pigmentation. Pregnancy left with me with stubborn melasma spots on my forehead, under an eye and on my upper lip. I’ve tried many different products aimed at lifting pigmentation but without much luck. Pigment Punch has changed that. This is a lightweight, easily absorbed serum that layers well and gives you results fast. It only took a week to initially see results, which is unheard of when it comes to pigmentation. After 8 weeks of use, my melasma spots have significantly decreased and I’m confident with further use they will disappear completely. Incredible.
I use Pigment Punch every PM.
Review Aspect Skincare Extreme C 20
Vitamin C is known to brighten, lift pigmentation and tone the skin. However, finding one that doesn’t irritate my skin, cause me to breakout, or increase congestion and blackheads is really hard. Aspect Extreme C 20 is definitely the best Vitamin C serum I’ve used thus far. It did make me break out a little, but that would have a lot to do with me being a goose and not slowly introducing all the actives in this regime, but instead going the whole hog and slathering everything on my face at once. Once I started to break out I slowed down on the serum and only used it every other day. This worked wonders and once my skin was tolerating all the actives, I brought this back for daily wear. This is a good lesson to learn when introducing any new actives.
The serum is once again lightweight and easily absorbed. Also, it is not nearly as sticky as other Vit Cs I’ve tried in the past. Bonus. It sits well under makeup and doesn’t ball up. It leaves my skin bright, glowy and deliciously plump.
Extreme C is my AM serum
Using any acids on your face leaves it photosensitive and more susceptible to sun damage. So remember to be even more vigilant with your SPF when these make up a part of your skincare regime. Unsure of what sunscreen to use? You’ll want to have a look at this.
Review Aspect Sheer Hydration Oil Free Moituriser
Sheer Hydration is a creamy moisturiser that is full of antioxidants to prevent free radical damage. It is oil-free, non-comedogenic and aimed at all skin types, but especially oily. It feels lovely on the skin and is really nourishing.
The only issue I have with Sheer Hydration, and I’m being very nit-picky here, is that it does take a little too long for me to absorb in the mornings. Being very time-poor, I only have a few minutes to do my makeup. I don’t have all those glorious minutes to wait between skincare and makeup, so being sticky isn’t really an option. If I had a few extra minutes it’d be perfect. BUT otherwise, I love this moisturiser. It makes my skin feel fresh, plump and soft. It even mattifies my oily little mug throughout the day. Winner.
RESULTS
Most pigmentation has faded, if not disappeared entirely. The melasma on my upper lip and under my eye has softened. There is still a spot of melasma right up the top of my forehead but it has definitely improved. The texture and tone of my skin has also greatly improved.
Overall Review About Aspect Skincare
My job as a blogger is to constantly test, trial and review products. Regardless of how much I usually like a product, I get excited about getting to try something new afterwards. But not this time. I do not want to stop using Aspect. The combination of powerful ingredients, ease of use, lack of irritation and fabulous results, just makes this regime a favourite for me. I have never seen such a visible difference in such a short amount of time. This has definitely started my love affair with the brand and I cannot wait to try more – especially their retinol. I can confidently say that Aspect will be my skincare pick in the lead up to my wedding later in the year.
